Stuart Pauley  Thursday, May 03, 2001  11:46 GMT

'I still have to have another operation on my left knee - hopefully in about eight weeks - depending on the wonderful NHS waiting list! In term of re-hab, this will be about a 10 month process, but will hopeful be back training after about 6 months ... so .. realistically I won't be available for selection until about February 2002!
Hillier's Happy With Win
Wires  Tuesday, May 01, 2001  17:24 GMT

"It's all well and good to have a youth policy to nuture home grown talent like Doigy and Monty but when we were hit with late injury problems, I really felt we needed to mix youth with some real experience. I got in some ringers and I think it paid off. Our defence had a tendancy to bypass our midfield, but since they were dribbling up field this didnt seem important."
Match Report v Royal Observatory
Jon Doig  Tuesday, May 01, 2001  12:51 GMT

A game of two halves, the first surprisingly long and the second even longer. It was a warm evening, perfect conditions for open fast football. A full team arrived in the changing rooms at least 5 mins after scheduled kick off. A brief introduction of players, we kicked off with no referee and conceded a goal immediately without even touching it; to a team that was big, fast and skilful. A long evening was in store but playing 'total' football we struck back and with silky interplay were amazingly up 5-2 at half time. Alan Miller, Andrea, Alun, Ryan and one other all hitting the back of the old onion bag (Ryans first goal since schoolboy football).
