Hello, and welcome to the National Womens Football Academy website. This Academy was started in 1998, and so for yet to lose a game in England. What a record to have, no other academy has a record like that. This academy was the first one to open and now there are 10+ academies up and running around the Country. At the College (East Durham & Houghall Community College) the Womens Academy was named team of the year after successfully winning the British Colleges 11-a-side and 5-a-side Under 19's tournament. Well Done girls. All over the Country people know that this academy is well respected with Ex England Manager, Ted Copeland, and Ex England Captain, Gill Coultard in control. Also, for the first time, the Academy have entered a team in to the Northern Division 2 league, and won the trieble, Northern Division 2 league, League Knockout Cup, and the League Cup. So a great season for all involved in the squads. Thanks for a great season girls - Rosemary Nash |
