THREE MONTH BENDER FOR WALKER?

Ken Export  Wednesday, January 16, 2002  22:31 GMT

WALKER KO'D FOR REST OF SEASON

Plant youngster Kristian Walker faces the rest of the season on the sidelines after seeing a specialist at BRI on Tuesday afternoon.
The Specialist said that only a sustained period of rest for the young starlet would cure his troublesome shin injury. Walker sustained the injury in the away fixture at Sycamores three months ago and has suffered two abortive comebacks since but now has too face up to a long period out of the game.
Plant Physio Brekke Legg who accompanied Kris to the BRI yesterday, said ' I am not surprised with the outcome, we knew Kris has been in a lot of pain especially when trying to kick a ball and it just seems to get worse the more he tries to comeback'
Walker himself said ' Obviously I am devastated with the news but I'll keep my spirits up by going on a three month long bender in true Broadford style and then pick up my fitness in the close season.'.
