Hey mini 6 or a big six you still get 6 runs for it. And aslo if we compare our career stats I will have hit triple the sixes you have hit in your life time. But I should tell you one thing. You still hold the record for the longest 6 hit during a game at elsmere, that was a bomb.(u only got 6 runs for it too bad ha ha) Anyhow make sure you put some vaseline on your taal so you can make that ball swing more. |

I came to watch most of the games. I came to watch mini 6's of Mohd and Farid's Dua. IF he can catch the Dua or not. Well see what happens as the season progress just wish for some miracle and I get weekend off at work..........Keep up the good work........ | Checked the homepage and read that in 1999 SMCC lost in the semi finals. You say that SMCC was cheated out of semi finals so per you SMCC lost before the semis - who is correct? So the only big cheat free loss you had since you started playing was in 2000, you must be good ! Yes, I know the meaning of mediator, this is why this is a mediation between you and all other teams in SCA and request you to stop talking dirty about all other teams and simply repeat as champions this year, all the good and bad teams will then believe that you are what you say you are. I wonder if he knows the meaning of mediator. anyways you complain is that we blame umpires and don't give credit to other team if they are good. My friend go this website Homepage and you will read in our history that we have clearly stated that when we lost in 2000 semifinals because COSMOS outplayed us. So get your facts rights and then try to fight, Mr "mediator". I would say it again in year 1999, Cosmos and Royal played a tag game of cheating to eliminate SMCC. Cosmos were scared of playing SMCC in semifinals and wanted to face lesser team of Royals. Entire league knows about this fact. Cosmos is great team, but when they won all those back to back championship they always played with 14 members including two umpires.

Well since 1994 Saleh is the one who started this team, He is still the active member of SMCC, not in playing side however on managing side. You are out of touch with reality, my friend. If you think that Gavaskar and vengsarkar, and kapil dev should still be playing for india then you are in for long match. As time change so do players. As far as religion is concerned, we are no politician we don't play race card. Mohmed David by the way is muslim, don't get fooled by the name. At present for 2002 season, we have Muslims, hindu, christian as far as variety is concerened. Yes we are majority from gujrat and speaks gujrati, however we will play 1 pakistani, 3 guyanese (2 muslim & christian) for comming season. I hope this gives you some insight on our team. Beside that we don't go picking nationality and religion to play in our team. We look for the best talent and person who can adopt to SMCC "Chemistry". |

| It is highly overstated by Mr John Smith about SMCC becoming better off the field. I believe SMCC are excelent bunch of guys once you meet them off the ground. But don't expect us to be nice when we put our game face on. It's not the matter of being dis respectful or cocky, however we get charged up before the game which allow us to compete at our highest level. If that means bad attitude in your book let it be we are happy with that. The comment I made about other teams is that they are good cricketers as well as politicans. We are striving to become both. If they take it as challenge, I am more then happy to except it. Again this website was made with purpose and it is meeting that purpose, I am not comepeting for the best website award. About SMCC not being the original team, well it is been the same since 1995. We may be the only team with lowest turnaround in SCA. Our core players has not changed since 1995. As far as I remember Myself, Farid, Samad, Miraz, Hemal, Ahmed, Mohammed has been playing together since 1995. |

| Human make mistakes - some of them accept it. I made a mistake in stating that SMCC (as a team) has become better off the field. I stand corrected. This does not take away the good website (not the best anymore) that you are hosting. This also does not take away the fact that SMCC remain a very good bunch of cricketers with an attitude - a bad attitude (quite a few of your cricketers, including the fiery Miraj are however really well behaved though). Keep being yourself - you will win your share of games be it with the three teams that the webmaster mentioned in his note and the other Indian teams in SCA (I hope all the teams who got challenged got the message). I still am not convinced that you are so good that you can repeat this year. Happy recruiting all the defectors from other teams - by the way, how many original SMCC members remain in the team as it seems that former Lawrence and the now defunct Scarborough Indians form the core of this team. This would be my last message as the intent of the good will in my notes is going onto deaf ears - happy cricketing everyone. |

Correction to what Mr John Smith said. i did not ask anyone to shutup. All I wrote was that comments here are from individual and they should not be taken as if it is comming from entire team. About the website, it was designed so that all SMCC players and fan can interact on regular basis, even when we are not playing. We are not claiming any bragging rights about our site, infact you commented that it was one of the best. And finally about my team SMCC. I believe we have very good team, a team other organization would love to have, a young talent others envy, a team which won't back down from anyone. A team lot of guys have to get umpires help to defeat (HA HA). I believe we were firy bunch when we started but now we have transformed into good confident cricketers and politicians too just like cosmos and kaeture and ofcourse "Royal A". |

| Challenges are usually made by someone who has been winning for a long time and has created a dynasty – say the Clive Lloyd led West Indian team of the 80’s or the current Australian team. Winning one championship like the Pakistanis won in 1992 and the Indians won in 1983 is no streak and should not let a player of yours print something to which the webmaster/Vice president disagrees to an extent that he writes “Shut the hell up” and later deletes those messages. Please remember a team of super stars is no good if they are not team players "There is no I in TEAM). This is the reason most World XIs loose to the 'team' (Kerry Packer experiment of the 70's). Mairaj seems to be very much like the Altaf of the early 90’s – very fiery, energetic and fearless individual and there is nothing wrong in it, BUT there are ways to challenge. LIKE....... 1. Request the TDCA and SCA to have an annual ‘Masters tournament’ in which the championship winners of the four divisions of Toronto and the three divisions of SCA (+ 20 overs winners, if same, the final losers) can play an inter-league masters tournament (say on the Victoria day weekend) every year. The winners can then have bragging rights which SMCC is very good in doing. 2. Challenge the respective teams that you would like to play and beat (say Cosmos, Lawrence, Diva ....) directly by contacting them 3. Just keep winning every year and let the whole world say, oh yes, you are the best. Please don’t let me eat my words that SMCC has turned for the better (off the field). By the way, your site is no longer the best site around – several others have cropped up and are far better than your crammed-up site. Any team when @ their best is unbeatable. It all depends if all 11 are playing their best cricket and together as a team. |

Though it started as a "steal with pride" project(Cosmos did the web site first in SCA) I can now safely say that in addition to being the best on-the field team of SCA in 2001, your site is now the best cricket site of Toronto (better than Kholvad, Centurians....). Super work Mohammed. Having played many games against all of you (I don't watch other games), I strongly believe and seeing it that most of you have changed for the better "off the field". Keep up the good work and keep having FUN - remember winning and losing is part of the game. | Interesting Facts: SMCC as team has batting average of 23.6 for each member per game in year 2001. Where as we take oppostion wicket after conciding 14 runs each time. Guys this should be standard for us to measure ourselves for next year. |

| Thanks for responding to poll question.Our club meeting will be held sortly and this is one of the topic which will be raised. I personally believe A & B should remain merged. But there are some issues which has to be dealt with and in professional manner. The comments I want to hear is how should we handle the following issues. 1) Selection 2) Player availabilty 3) Balancing the team specially in playoff time. Thanks for your comments. |

| Hey John I don't think Kaeture is capable of winning championship at this stage of the competition. They won 3 in a row when there was hardly any competion in the league. I do agree with you that COSMOS is great team and has some trumendous performers so do Lawrence. As far as Kaeture being a gentleman team, you are wrong there again. I am not saying there are bad but don't over rate their honesty and politeness. (HA HA). This league is a corrupt league no matter who is in it. You have a choice either go with the flow and make your presence felt or suffer. It is good that lawrence and Diva has lot of followers but let me give you some insight, most of the fans are their to see them loose (HA HA) you should sit in the hudle after their loses and you will see if they really are fans or not. HA HA. |

| Yo!..salaam....I juss wanna say...congradulations frum me and ma pops and frum da whole Lawrence sports club...U DESERVED IT and its guud dat u know ur sayin whatever like u know..n if u r bad mouthin sum teams n or players or whaever cuz sum teams n players r juss like dat....i dun mind..its healthy....hahaha ..n i juss wanna say dat it was a guud year frum a lawrence player n a SMCC player..i had more fun tho inda smcc team...mad jokes..mad fun....and....even tho we lost inda semis...it was a great season hell we started out 4 da first time and we had like everyone under 19 and on top ov all dat,....we took it to da semis..common..das amazing..inshallah nex year we takin home da championship.!!!...I juss wanna say more thanx 2 da management and da players and all da ppl dat came out to support n c us...cuz da more dat comes out can c our youths skillz..n we can show dem oldies...how guud we really are.....I also wanna thank SMCC 4 letting me play...i keep goin up in diss cricket world..lol...frum juniors ta playin full time as SMCC player n also 7 games 4 lawrence..inshallah us players will develop so many things that we will be the great ones in this leage ta come......latez...n oh ya ..i wanna c who can bat when im bowling inda future..hehehe Mozes....... |

| Apologize for the delay in replying - I was out of the country. I stand corrected on the Cosmos back-to-back in '98 and '99. Lawrence won it in 1997. My apologies to the Comos fan/player. Thanks for your reply Mohmed (you are the one who is maintaining this site, one of the originals from the '94 semi-finalist team in 3rd divison and the MVP performer of this final - please confirm?) Before I comment, let me correct you, the '99 league management "cheating" you refer to was a quarter final and not the semis, so you missed reaching the SEMI-FINALS. Yes, I do feel for you guys and all the others who have been given out wrongly and feel ashamed for some others who were not given out when they were and still stayed on the wicket.... the list is too long when a team which has won BUT lost on a protest or some liking/disliking by an umpire/umpires/league management. With one of your own team member in the league management, can all the teams expect a "cheat-free" management. I do have TRUST, but remember there will always be cases which we should forgive and forget and move on otherwise we will always have bitterness. Continue to play positive cricket and let the results do the talking. Have you ever thought why you have rivals (by the way are they individuals or teams?). It may be a result of your team members and spectators being rude. Why does Lawrence and Diva (the two other very good 1st division teams from India with a big spectator following) do not have so many rivals. Why did we not hear the Lawrence guys LOUD MOUTHING when they won in 1997 and 2000. Most of you have improved in the "maturing part" - most of you are very friendly (Altaf, Hemal... to name a few). Altaf, in particluar has come a long way from a fiery youngster of 1994 (Scarborough Indians) who fought everything and everyone with bat, ball and mouth. He is now only a fighter on the field and respects every opposing team's capabilities and I am sure considers umpiring and league management as part and parcel of the game. With Bollywood and Tadkeshwar moving up, you are bound to have more competition - here is another prediction for 2002 - no team in the 1st division will WIN more than 13 games (Lawrence's 16-0 record will never be repeated). You should keep up the good work, respect every human and let there be peace in the world and the cricket field. "Want to see gross examples of shabby league management, visit the discussion forum of "torontocricket.org". Overseas, Caledonia, National … all robbed from possible championship victories in just one year. The SCA is just a lesser evil in this case. |

| I appreciate your comments Mr John. However I would like to clarify some comments that would otherwise look as if we are bad mouthing. When we talk about shutting big mouths we don't refer to any teams or its members in SCA, but we have some of our own rivals who just cannot digest our victories and have been very critical of our players. Second point about being polite, we have improved this year and matured a lot as a group, we have focused on winning and concentrated on wining games and not let anything distract us from our goal. However some of our frustration on ground is the reflection on how we were cheated by the league management in 1999. I wonder if you know about this but we won the semi finals and were suppose to play finals with cosmos that year however the league management and umpire totaly screwed us and cheated and fabricated stories that were not true. I think our players which always fights hard were diappointed and lost faith in the league management and umpires. I am sure you would feel the same if it was your team. However we have moved on as a team, and yes I do agree Aarif is very soft spoken and he is great motivator to this young team. |

| As a cricket lover I love the spirit that you guys play with ... you surely were the team of 2001 BUT please stop blowing your own trumpet over an over again. You are currently the best team in 2001 BUT 1. That does not take away the 3 consecutive championships that ISC (now Kaiteur-International) won in the early nineties, 2. The enviable record that COSMOS has had in the last 10 years (both in 50 overs and 1st and 2nd division), 3. The 2 championships that Lawrence won in the last 4 years specially their record breaking 1998 (they went 16-0, never emulated in SCA) You surely have come a long way after not winning the 3rd division championship in 1994 (your inaugral year) BUT stop calling all other teams as BIG MOUTHS, you are acting as BIG MOUTHS yourselves. Please remember, competition in 1st div is good and since ISC, no team has been able to 2-peat (may luck favor the brave and here is my prediction for 2002 - Islanders United will win the 50 overs and SMCC will repeat as 20 overs Champs). Best of luck for 2002 and beyond and hey did anybody notice for the 1st time in the history of SCA, the 6 finalists of all divisions were teams that originated from a small state in India called GUJRAT ... way to go Gujjus. If we include the 20 overs final, all the teams were still from India (BUT why only a handful of Indian Cricketers are in the Candian national team)? Finally, well done on a very good site (even if you have taken some tips from Cosmos Web site) and just play positive cricket .... you will win more games, if your spectators plus some of your own players let their bat and ball do the talking (like this year). Take a lesson from ISC-Kaiteur team (ever seen them arguing, fighting or cursing even after they loose a game). Some of the best gentlemen cricketers are in that team. Why not look at your own team's Arif (a soft spoken person, respected everywhere as a gentleman). Be like him and you may create a DYNASTY, otherwise it may well be just one good year. |

| Hey we are the best............. We are the champs............... which makes me so proud for our team and team players. I am so happy becouse this was my first year with smcc and we became champ...........not even in just regular season but we are the champ in 20 over festival too. I had great year with all of smcc guys. I am the youngest guy in the team. You all shoud know that its so difficult to play with all big guys specialy for me because i am a new guy in the team and also youngest.......... but i never had those problems with my team which shows that smcc is a great team to play with. We shut many big mouth this year. We beat all famouse teams in the league such as Cosmos, Lowrence, Diva etc. I feel so sorry for our "B" team that they lost semi-final but also i am proud of them. The way i proud for them because they all yongest guys many of them are under 19 and it was a first year for them and they gone up to semi-final which is great. I am glad for our supporter and my team players for this great win. CONGRATULATION TO ALL AND ENJOY TILL NEXT SEASON. |

| Hey we are the champs !!! common you all na sayers, where is your big talk now. You gotta remember where there is a will there is a way. So never give up and keep fighting you will get the results. What we achieve was not easy, we went through three years of frustration, we had made finals the very first year but lost out because of some shabby league management. Lot of guys would have given up cricket if same thing happen to them but we are not quitters. Last year we got rocked in semis by cosmos there were lot of jokers who joked how we got smashed, but u gotta remember it is just a game anyone can have a bad day. Look what we did to cosmos this year (4-0) and a humilating loss in 20 overs bowled their best team in 29 runs. However some people are just jealous of SMCC and we tend to thrive on that spirit. Guys this is for you who supported us in thick and thin and hung with us. ENJOY. |
