Cambridgeshire Girls Mini League U13s

The under 13's travelled to Newmarket on Saturday
without Leanne Topper in goal and were also missing Kelly Taylor (colchester) and Stacey Farnham (holiday) so were down to six players. They had a new player in Amanda Everett
who got off to an excellent start by putting U's
1-0 in front after only 5 mins.U's held Newmarket
off until 5 mins from the break after some good
saves from stand in goalie Bekki Smith but went in
trailing 1-2 at half time.
In the second half U's battled hard but were unable to stop Newmarket scoring twice more.
U's then changed keepers ,the hard working Stacey
Clementson swapped with Bekki who ,just before the
final whistle slipped the ball through the goalies
legs to make the final score 2-4.
Team: Bekki Smith, Amy Fernard, Stacey Clementson
Sam Thomson, Ceri Harris and Amanda Everett
(player of the match).

Home Win Against Peterbough
2 Goals from Ceri Harris and an own goal by a Peterbough defender put under pressure by Amanda Everret put Us into third place just behind Peterbough who's first defeat this was and it also doubled their goals against.
