Bridlington Town Blues 1 Tickton Panthers 5
Town Blues were given a lesson in passing by second in the league Panthers in this under 10’s league match.
Starting the brightest Panthers were soon in total control with fluent passing throughout the team leaving the Blues as mere spectators in the first half.
By half time the score was 0-4 with the Blues struggling to string more than two passes together.
In the second half the Blues at times showed the type of game they are capable of playing with a consolation goal from Jacob Day but it was too little too late with Panthers eventually running out worthy 1-5 winners.
Bridlington Town Blues 4 Tickton Puma’s 0
In their second game of the evening the Blues were still smarting from the previous loss to the Panthers.
This game was a totally different affair with the Blue’s never looking as though they were going to concede a goal.
Taking control from the start it was only a matter of time before they scored their first goal and with all the team contributing Nathan Cunningham opened the scoring for the Blue’s.
By half time the score was 2-0 with an unlucky own goal scored by the Puma’s defence.
The second half started as the first finished with the Blue’s in control and it was not long before Jacob Day put the Blue’s in to a 3-0 lead.
Further pressure resulted in a second own goal leaving the final score at 4-0.
The passing from all the players in the second game ensured that they remain 5th in the league with their final game to be played on Saturday 12th May.
