What a shocking picture !!
OIHcc enjoyed the most successful weekend of the season so far with four wins and a draw. All three sides won in the league and the Wooda was buzzin on Saturday night with H (Colin Hearsum) reaching the grand total of fifty years and Slagger (Sagar Patel) enjoyed his 'last' weekend before his forthcoming marriage on Saturday.
The first eleven romped to a win away at Sunbury Village. The Model( Rob Folly) bowled with his usual aggresion resulting in a nasty head wound for one of the villagers. 'SEE THAT, THATS BLOOD. THAT MEANS WE'RE WINNING !!' Poshs' ( Paul Gardem) thirteen ball over kept the scorers on their toes.
The second eleven held off Sheen Park 'A' at the Wooda thanks to a strong team display. Having set the visitors 186 with Ameen Kasir (31) Mike Peries (27) and Gurj Puar (25 no) all chipping in, strong bowling from Gazza (Gary O'Connell) and Jalu (spinning) Patel meant Sheen Park were always behind the rate and ended 112 all out, Jalu taking 5 for 24.
A strong third eleven hammered Old Tennisonians 'B' at Norwood Hall. Rizwan Kasir (84) Chris Brice (31) and Dipesh Patel (40) helped OIHCC reach 258, GNU's late flurry including a six ?!! The visitors were bowled out for under a ton, with wickets for Alfie Mewkan, Rippon Pawa and Barry Martin. The game will forever be remembered for TC climbing over the wall to get in !!
Despite being drunk from the previous night, the Sunday first eleven managed a crediable draw away to Hook & Southboro'. Having lost the toss, OIHCC were asked to field and the oppo started at a blistering rate with their opener Milton reaching fifty inside five overs !!! Good spell Bobby !! The oppo were kept down to 219, Sagar managing 22 straight overs from one end. OIHCC fell just short at 200-7 thanks to 46 from Posh and 47 from Sagar. The hangover cleared in time to enjoy the Camra award winning bar on offer...marvellous.
The second eleven also won..no details available...sorry.
Just a final note...
Best Wishes to Sagar and Wife for Saturday...Hope you have great day.
