BRITISH SPEEDWAY GP TICKETS FOR SALE!Kevin George Tuesday, May 29, 2001 12:57 GMT
FIM BRITISH GRAND PRIX
MILLENIUM STADIUM, CARDIFF, WALES
SATURDAY JUNE 9TH 2001 @ 7.00PM
The Grand Prix circus rolls into Cardiff on Saturday 9th June for the biggest speedway spectacle that Britain has seen for many, many years. Upwards of 30,000 fans from across the World are expected to attend, and plenty of Panthers supporters are travelling to see the reigning World Champion Mark Loram and our local favourite's Ryan Sullivan and Matej Ferjan.
The British Grand Prix on Saturday 9th June is just under three weeks away and promises to be a great night's entertainment and is not to be missed by any speedway fan. The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff has already received rave reviews following last weekend's F.A.Cup Final and at least we are assured that there will be no repeat of the rain affected meeting in Berlin. Cardiff has a fully retractable roof (which has now been fixed)!
HOW TO GET YOUR TICKETS
The Panthers management have purchased a block of tickets giving all fans who will be travelling to support the Peterborough riders, past and present, the opportunity to sit together (block L18). Unofficially, I have been told that these tickets have now completely sold out but general tickets are still available and can be bought online right up until June 9th 2001 from:
www.speedwaygp.com www.ticketmaster.co.uk
or you can order your tickets by conventional telephone:
The Ticketmaster hotline: 0870 444 225
Tickets will also be available to purchase on the day at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff.
The Panthers are laying on supporters coaches to take fans to the stadium. For this there are two options:
1. Same day travel leaving the Showground at 11.00am, costing £24 not including ticket/entry fee
2. Travel to Cardiff plus an overnight bed & breakfast stay and transport to the following day's league match where the Panthers take on Coventry at Brandon. This costs £105 including entrance fee to Coventry BUT NOT the Grand Prix.
If you would like to book your spot then for either of these trips, send your personal details and appropriate cheque to:
Mick Horton c/o Peterborough Speedway PO Box 47 Bourne PE10 9GA
BE HEARD & BE SEEN!
At all home meetings as from Sunday 27th May, the track shop situated in 'Twin Peaks' behind the grandstand will be offering FREE Grand Prix flags for all fans to take to the Grand Prix and also they are doing an amazing offer for all Grand Prix bound Panthers fans:
A new Air-Horn plus two refills for only £10 !!!
Make sure you get yours and show Mark, Ryan and Matej that we are right behind them.
