 HELP US.

See our planning application appeal letter Sittingbourne Speedway, (Formerly Iwade) has been in existance for almost thirty years, for a period of time approaching five years. Mr. Graham Arnold has been attempting to obtain full planning permission for this facility despite stiff opposition from the Local Swale Borough council. The matter has now been referred to the Department of the Environment at Bristol.Graham Arnold remains confident of an satisfactory outcome and said "there is no leagal or moral grounds why Swale Borough Council should not have granted us planning permission before now, as the matter is now in the hands of the Government I am confident that based on the facts, and the law of the land we will be successful" However the DOE has informed Graham Arnold that this appeal will take between 40 and 52 weeks to hear. Mr. Arnold added " It is vitally important that people download our letter of support sign it and post it to the DOE. As there have been a few letters of objection lodged with the council we must deluge the DOE with support to show that the objectors are only a small minority and I appeal to all speedway fans to help us in our fight". -BREAKING NEWS-

Uncomfirmed reports suggest that there may be team action at Sittingbourne  Speedway this summer!

Could the return of the Kent Crusaders be imminent? A number of challenge matches have been rumored to be planned against other Conference League opposition. When asked, Mr G Arnold said, " I cannot confirm or deny anything at the moment. But it is true to say that the best use for a Speedway track is to race Speedway meetings on it!"
