Wet Day Out in FifeJim Nicholson Sunday, June 10, 2001 10:43 GMT
After an unprecedented 7 consecutive Saturdays of
cricket at the start of the season, at last the
weather caught up with EUSCC when their game at
Glenrothes 2 was abandoned after 3 overs due to
heavy and persistent rain.
In the 10 minutes of play possible Ken and Paul B
had progressed to 2 without either being in any
real trouble. The only talking point was when
Paul D, umpiring in the first over, asked Gelnrothes
to replace the old ball they had started with with
a new one - as is started in the Eaat League rules.
