Open Forum On Speedways Future At OdsalRay Allen Monday, June 11, 2001 18:24 GMTAll friends of Bradford Speedway are invited to air their views on the future of the sport in the City. This is of particular relevance given the fantastic staging of the GP at the Millenium Stadium Cardiff on Sunday. Would the Council be right to sanction the development of Odsal for the benefit of Rugby alone and with MORE...NOT NEEDED Retail Shopping on the site ? TIBS believes that the Stadium should be Multi-use for Speedway, Stock Cars, Concerts, Football-Park Avenue could need a Ground that meets Conference standards in the forseeable future. Should Chris Caisley have exclusive rights at Odsal ? Why do we need another 25000 all seater stadium merely replicating what Valley Parade offers ? Rugby League is infact a minority sport these days and is losing- In TIBS opinion- support far from having 20000+ supporters its clear the Bulls have 10000 supporters and 10000 FLOATERS ! and Caisley is at odds with his crowd over their support. TIBS Supports the return of the Bulls to Odsal BUT NOT TO A RUGBY LEAGUE ONLY + RETAIL USE AFFAIR The Councillors and Planning Commitee OWE IT TO THE CITIZENS OF BRADFORD not to allow this to happen.
