Carbone fancies L**ds move?Adam Bell Thursday, May 24, 2001 12:51 GMT
Bradford's controversial Italian striker Benito Carbone has shocked Bantams fans by claiming he would love a move to arch-rivals Leeds United.
The former Sheffield Wednesday star is keen for a move back to the Premiership following City's relegation, but wants to remain in the Yorkshire area.
Carbone, who still has three years left on his lucrative Valley Parade contract, told The Mirror: "It would be perfect for me. I like the area where I live and my family are settled here."
"My son is at school and I have a lot of Italian friends in the area.
"I was not surprised Leeds did well in Europe this season. They play great football and are one of the best teams in Europe.
"It was difficult this season because I did not have a good preparation for the season but I have showed I am good enough to play against anyone if I am fit."
