Coventry preview

Adam Bell  Friday, May 18, 2001  09:51 GMT

FA Carling Premiership
Coventry City vs Bradford City
Saturday 19 May 2001
Kick Off: 3.00pm
At Highfield Road Stadium

Coventry City and Bradford City go into Saturday's final game of the season knowing that having met in the Premiership and Divisions 2 and 3 before, history will be made next season when they will face each other for the first time in Division 1, both sides having been relegated from the top flight.

Gordon Strachan will want Coventry to finish the season on a high. However his side has lost their last three matches and go into tomorrow's clash with the worst home record - 14 goals from 18 games - in the Premiership. The fact John Hartson, who only arrived in February is leading scorer says much about the Sky Blues' striking woes.

Coventry City are only one of five teams to be beaten by Bradford City this season and City will not have forgotten the last visit to Highfield Road last season which resulted in a dismal performance ending in a 4-0 defeat.
