Argentine on trial

Argentinean defender on trial

City are giving a trial to French-based Argentinian defender Luciano Zavagno, who currently plays for Troyes.
Jim Jefferies is bidding to bring in new faces that meet City's wage and transfer budget ahead of The Bantams return to the First Division.
The 23-year-old certainly seems to meet those requirements. He is also a no-nonsense defender who has had something of a chequered season in France, having played 13 times there, during which he has been sent off twice and received four yellow cards.
He has dual Argentine/Italian nationality so there would be no need for a work permit for the Zavagno, who has also played for Strasbourg after beginning his career at Sante Fe in his homeland.
