Chairman Geoffrey Richmond has been discharged from hospital after undergoing surgery, but the club say his medical problem has been resolved. Richmond complained of feeling unwell on the way to an FA Premier League meeting last Monday and had to get off the train taking him to London before returning North. After a consultation at St James' Hospital in Leeds, he was transferred to the LGI on Wednesday where he underwent surgery. The club have revealed that Richmond has had successful surgery, and he is expected to resume his normal duties at Valley Parade after a week of rest and recuperation. Richmond complained of feeling unwell during City's Worthington Cup game at Newcastle back in November, and after being rushed to hospital it was revealed that he had suffered a heart murmur. The club have not revealed the nature of the surgery that he has undergone, but the good news is that he is on the road to making a full recovery. Picture: Richmond recovering after surgery
