Jefferies blasts quit claims
|
City boss Jim Jefferies has denied suggestions that he will leave Valley Parade in the summer to return to the Scottish Premier League.
The former Hearts manager has moved to quell claims that he is unhappy at having to make dramatic cuts to his squad in order to reduce the wage bill to prepare for life in the First Division.
Jefferies, who joined The Bantams in November, insists the claims are unfounded and has reiterated his desire to stay at the club.
He said: "I saw them and couldn't believe what I read. I want people to know that I'm happy and have settled well in England.
"There's a big job to do at Bradford, and there's no doubt about my desire to stay and put things right."
The Valley Parade faithful are slowly taking to Jefferies and recent back-to-back wins against Derby and Charlton have given them hope for a quick return to the Premiership next season if, as expected, The Bantams are relegated.
