Hello Folks, right first things first. On Saturday night at Berwick I was informed that Barford would never open again, utter rubbish by yet another brain dead moron looking for glory. On speaking to Cyril yesterday he like I agreed that any one who thinks the thousands upon thousands he has spent and the few bob me and my family have spent would just go down the track are missing something. Number two. the reason Barford is still out of bounds is simply this. Some of the old army buildings the sheep and cattle were in are deemed unsafe by MAFF or is it DETRA???or something now? So the cleaning teams can't go in until such time as they are. This problem is in hand and should be sorted post haste. Next, the article in the Yorkshire post by Steve Penny. The Teeside thing is not a load of rubbish. But??? it won't happen over night. We have a mega meeting with the land owners in two weeks and hope to move on from there. After all the S-H- we have taken at Barford we are not spending one penny piece till FULL PLANNING IS GRANTED, possibly six months from now. It has and always will be mine and my families ambition to run, 1 A TRAINING TRACK. 2. A CONFERENCE LEAGUE TRACK, 3 A PREMIER LEAGUE TRACK. In that order. We want to prove to all that looking into the future rider wise just like most football, tennis, swimming, ETC,ETC,ETC, clubs do will produce results. The new starters get a rough deal, on saying that the holly-wooder's who spiol it for the genuine, "I'M GOING TO BEAT MARK L and his pals" need a focus to display their talents then perhaps they might move from HOLLYWOOD into the real world, you never know. Manys the time a lad has taken a few years to get there but when he has the shale has flown. Right folk I'm off, Thanks a million for keeping in touch and please, please, begging now people, sorry lovley people send an email or letter or any bl-o-y thing to help our appeal to, Carles Anderson, Cheif ? sorry Executive, Teesdale Council, Galgate, Barnard Castle Co/Durham, DL12 8EL Fax is 01833 637 269. AS any one who knows me Bull Sh--, is not my cup of tea. Barford has been refused planning simply because one very sad man (HEAD OF PLANNING PERSON)with many problems in his private life has told the planning committee blatant lies. Barnard Castle is a small rural sort of Market Town and the run of the mill folk are great. We now go to appeal or prove that the piece of crap in the planning who said in December 2000 that Barford would happen over his dead body can't be seen to win. We know Training would not be a problem but to be very honest if there is no Conference then the training will not happen at BARFORD. Funnily enough we have been offerd two sites from councils who have an un-biased team of Planning people, not like Teesdale Council. The Teesdale liars club, that's one from planning and one from Enviromental Health, MENTAL is probably the best way to discribe them. They even put in their report that they had done a noise test at Brough Park from 7.pm. till 8 p.m. on Monday the 9th of April, we will have to ask George & Darrell why they started early that night???? Funny once challanged they said 7.30.p.m. till. 8.p.m. funny old world eh. If any of you saw two pieces of Sh-T in a cul-de-sac- with a noise meter, 100 meters to the South of BROUGH PARK on Monday the 9th of April let me know A.S.A.P. Can you believe they say at 100 meters from Brough they recrded 86 decibells of Speedway Bike Noise when Stony and the lads only record 96 at 2 Meters from the track at Workington??? Yes we have the facts but trying to catch the lying two faced bits of crap out is nearly imposibble. Yes I and my family are very bloody angry because an appeal is another load of cash which could support the Foxes or some of our up and comming young BRITISH RIDERS. WE will keep up the good fight, we are that far down the road of paying out money we have to. Sorry for any spelling mistakes, and keep on praying that we pull off my dream. Ken (SICK AS A CHIP) MARSHALL. |

What has Ken Marshall running the Berwick Juniors got to do with David McAllan - he is an Edinburgh Asset and has not been in the juniors for a few years. I hope you took the trouble to let David know you were not going to be running as I hear he turned Buxton down because he though he would be riding for you or are you in the business of costing riders work!!! |

Sorry that the Foot @ Mouth problems have prevented the birth of the 'Foxes' this term. My offer still stands Ken with regards to a contribution in the programme in 2K2. Will get Dennis Mac to introduce us at Berwick on 16/6/2001. |

Sadly there will be no Conference League speedway at Barford this year due mainly to the foot and mouth crisis which has been a major setback. There are still one or two hurdles to overcome regarding parish council's also. As far as I am aware David McAllan is a free agent but if Barford had come off he would have been the captain and number one rider as Ken used to run the Berwick juniors. |

There is the good news and the bad. Bad first. Unfortunatly Foot and Mouth has been confirmed at Barford. Could we take this opertunity to express our heart felt thoughts to the farmer and his family. On the other side of this horrible coin is a chance Cyril and myself may just get back into Barford to run Stock Cars and finish the track and all things speedway wise to lift the tapes on the training school and the Foxes. We are still having horror stories with planning and a certain person is still doing his best to scupper the Conference League. Our full planning was supposed to go to committee on April 11th, surprise surprise it's been put back till May, HE THINKS. no no ME THINKS, the piece of garbage that is trying to drive the job thinks, but me and Cyril have a surprise or six left up our exhaust pipe. Log on and ask Cyril about his dealings with Mr S-IT in planning. Go on try the Barford Stock Csr site, it won't hurt honest. If you can please send any plus points from business folk you may know to me. Hotels that have hundreds of speedway guests, shops that sell millions of Mars Bars, get the message? we have got to plaster the Economic development chap sense less. Funny really no other business has had to do it at Barnard Castle since William of Orange stopped over for a pint or three and asked to open a Chinese take away. Right thats the latest, be lucky and enjoy your speedway, thanks a million to you all. Don't laugh if I've got a spelling mistake or five. Ken Marshall, |

Many thanks to all who have taken the time to visit our website and express their welcome opinions which we have noted. Unfortunately as is the case with many places at the moment the foot and mouth crisis has brought things to a complete standstill. However as soon as things are sorted out we will be holding a press day, which all riders regardless of whether or not they rode second half at Berwick last year are welcome to attend. We have spoken with several elite league riders about being present on the day as well as local and national newspapers and T.V crews.Although we do have a fair idea of our conference league team nothing is SET IN STONE and we have many possibilites to look at. I wish everyone all the best for the coming season and hope to welcome you very soon to the home of "THE BARFORD FOXES" - "TOTAL ENTERTAINMENT". |

I'm sure Robert would be considered for a team place if he came down to ride. All riders would judged on their own merits, however, it's looking less likely by the day that 'Conference League' speedway will make its debut at Barford in 2001. There are problems with Winston Parish Council (a small village on the outskirts of Barnard Castle) who have put together a dossier for NOT having speedway. According to Ken Marshall, the man behind the proposal to bring speedway to Barford, various bodies such as Durham County Highways, One North East and the Environmental Agency are happy to see speedway staged at the venue at a future date. Obviously the foot-and-mouth crisis has affected everyone as well. A public meeting TBA. |

I noticed in your latest news page that possible signings for the team are Gary Flint, Ryan Milburn etc. What about Robert McNeil he rode for the Giants and Glasgow last season. Nothing against Ryan but he only rode one match last season. |

Ive heard that if you have a conference team running I could be in contention for a place. If Mildenhall dont want me which is the way things are looking if Barrie Evans rides, then I would be very interested in riding as its an ideal situation. A contact number can be got from Steve Harland. Cheers and good luck to everyone involved. Jitendra |

We're not situated that far from Bowes, just off the A66 but on the other side of Barnard Castle, about two miles outside of the town itself on the A688 Barnard Castle to Staindrop road. |
