Bristol & West Ladies FC started life during 1994, with a request from the EBS (Educational Building Society) in Dublin, for a match for their touring team who were to visit Bristol the following month. Becky Duke and Tina Jones found 12 volunteers who learned each other's names during the warm-up. After a brief summary of the rules, for those who hadn't played before, the EBS, not surprisingly, went on to beat the Bristol & West Ladies. The bug was with the players though and weekly training began.

Back in 1994 the team was purely made up of Bristol & West employees but over the years has changed its make-up to mainly employees, ex-employees, family and friends. The team is currently coached and managed by the husband of one of the team players - Rich Cormack (see club history). We currently play in the Gloucestershire County Women's League. We finished 4th in the 2001-2 season.
