LIONS ROAR ON-LINENEWS
This Saturday sees the mighty Noosa Lions take on Woombye in what is a must win game for our boys. Noosa has had the worst start to a season in memory and is looking for a win to get their season back on track. Come and support the Seniors this Saturday night. Kick off is at 5 and 7pm. This weeks game is proudly sponsored by Sportsco. Tuesday’s Tewantin Noosa RSL 1st Division Cup game sees the Lions take on Woombye and we will be looking to continue our unbeaten run in the Cup. Kick off is at 7.30pm
REGISTRATIONS
There are still some incomplete registrations. Registrations should have been completed before the start of the season. Any player without a complete registration will NOT be allowed to play this weekend and until their registration has been finalised. We are still getting fined from the Federation as a result of this.
FINES
If a team does not attend a fixture the club will be fined by the federation. It is a matter of courtesy to let the club know if you have a good reason not to be able to complete your fixture. Arrangements may be made to help or avoid this situation. It is unfair to the opposition, and to members of this club who have worked hard to generate sponsorship to improve facilities for money to be wasted on fines.
SHORT ON VOLUNTEERS
Once again we find ourselves short on volunteers to assist in almost every aspect of the clubs running. The committee is not an elite club we welcome input and help from the clubs members. It has taken a long time to get things sorted out this season, and we apologise for this, but we are getting there. Big advances in sponsorship and general upgrading of the club house has been achieved. New shirts have now been handed out to all teams concerned. This year’s almost totally new committee have learnt there respective jobs in a “baptism of fire” situation. We need more people so if you feel you can contribute please make yourself known. This weekend we are hosting some 27 games, 17 games on the Saturday and a further 10 games on Sunday. Please, don't be shy in putting up your hand to volunteer some help. As we know, it's only human nature to quickly criticise but not be so eager to assist. Any help would be appreciated.
WET WEATHER HOTLINE
The federation provides A Wet Weather Hotline to inform you of possible cancellations due to bad weather. If your game is not mentioned. Your game is on. Coaches and managers use this as well so there is no need to ring the coach or manager or the club we all have the same source of information. Ring 1902 241 169 before you leave home.
WEBSITE
We have a Club Website which is updated daily with information which may effect your team. There is a facility for you to leave messages. Keep in touch ans stay ahead of the game. The address (URL) is at the top of this page.
