3rds Lead way against Kawana

Alasdair  Friday, May 11, 2001  23:35 GMT

Last night at the Lion's Den, the Entertainers recovered from an early Kawana goal to come back and completely outplay the young opposition.

The scoreline of 6-1 to Noosa barely does justice to a game in which the experience, superior skills and team play of Noosa were in stark comparison to the whinging and aggressive Kawana side.

There were 3 send-offs in the game, 2 for Kawana and Derek Connolly of Noosa - all for fighting. But it was the players who kept their heads and played football, who ensured a real hammering was dished up for the vocal home crowd.

Four goals for the prolific Ray Stoddart who continues to set a great example on the field, and one each for Paul Hart and super striker Wolfgang Schneider but each had several more chances.

This was a very good team performance and hopefully will be followed up by similar wins for the Women, Reserves and 1st Division this weekend.
