A superb strike from Gareth Armstrong handed the home side a narrow victory in a hard-fought Lanarkshire derby against Airdrie United.
The talented young striker was inches off target after 42 minutes but made no mistake with a fabulus finish just after the interval that gave the keeper absolute Mark McGeown no chance.
The highly-rated Armstrong could have easily doubled his tally as the Accies cruised to the top of the league after 2 games
For the visitors, Martin Glancy came closest to scoring, but things just went from bad to worse when Marvyn Wilson was sent-off for two bookable offences with two minutes to go
