Tony Cottee and Geoff Pitcher are due to sign with Chester by the end of next week. This news came as a suprise to Graham Barrow as Phil Davis has been instigating these deals before even taking over at the Deva.
Chris Lightfoot has also told the club that he would like to finish his career at his beloved Chester. An old fan's favourite, he should be very welcomed by the players and fans alike.
Chester's only other bid so far is for Everton's under 19's striker Anthony Webb, who has also been targeted by Wigan.
Youth defender Chris Andrews was linked with the club and expected to sign for the club tomorrow.
