Rickardsson Wins GP

Swede Tony Rickardsson took the British Grand Prix at the Cardiff Millenium Stadium in front of a crowd of 40,000.

Rickardsson beat third placed Pole Tomasz Gollob who looked invincible all night and second placed Aussie Jason Crump.  Gollob still retains his position at the top of the overall standings.

Not one of the six Brits in the event managed to qualify for the main event.  Scott Nicholls looked set to be going through to the sweet sixteen but and engine failure while leading meant that he was eliminated after only three rides.
