Founded in 1992 as the Colchester Royals we became affiliated to Colchester United FC in 1998, the Senior 1st team play in Eastern Region Premier Division and the reserves in the Essex County Division. Our girls sides from U10 to U15's play in the Essex County Girls League. The club is run by the Colchester United Ladies Football Partnership, which has charitable status, and is run by a committee made up of players and employees of the Football in the Community Office. The Youngsters can also be selected to train at the Colchester United Centre of Excellence for girls. The club is supported by Colchester United FC and the senior teams are sponsored by DVR (digital video recall). We have our own Ladies page on the Colchester United website, www.colchesterunited.net with regular pre and post match reports shown under the main Breaking news section each week. The Ladies team also receive regular coverage in the Colchester Utd mens matchday programmes and local newspapers such as the Evening Gazette and East Anglian Daily Times.
