FREMMIE STORM INTO QUATER FINALS.OVES Sunday, January 13, 2002 23:33 GMT
Fremmie stormed into the last 8 of the Braunton cup on Sunday with a 4 - 2 win over League leaders Chittlehampton.
What looked to be a hard game on paper only seemed to raise the fremmie game.
Fremmie raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from Colin pepper, and a rare header from returning midfield playmaker Steve Williams, only for the visitors to reply with 2 quick goals gifted to them again by individual mistakes. The second half saw fremmie again revert back to the free flowing football of the first it was 2 great goals from Troy Roach that easied fremmie into the last 8. Manager Neil Ovey said " It was a great team proformance against the top side in the league, it is good to see Steve Williams back and hopes this is the launch pad of some much needed confidence".
It Has also been rumoured that one of Fremmies young players is on the transfer list after an incident in the bootroom the club has quashed rumours and said the matter with be delt within the club.
