Under-16 League A Result

Ellon Meadows 3-3 King Street SC

The team waved goodbye to their Under-16 Campaign yesterday when they faced an evenly matched Ellon side at Gordon Park.
This Match was an alround exciting encounter with both teams working hard and pressing for goals throughout the 90 Minutes.
King Street went through all the motions in this end of season encounter as goals from Lee Murray, Shaun McCartney and Andrew Mcleod gave hope of winning all three points, however things were against them during the game as Midfielder Chris Gove was Sent Off and Player of the Year-Elect Struan Robertson had his season, which has culminated in him being Called up by Cove Rangers came to a sad end when he was taken off with a Knee injury.
With no options on the Bench Keeper Andrew Ross came on in Struans place and gave a solid performance.
With just minutes to go King Street were 3-2 up and looked set to end their season with a win but Ellon Meadows grabbed a late equaliser to end the match all square in a highly exciting encounter.
Manager John Sim will now be looking to begin building his squad for the step up to the Under-18 Section, he hopes to have a squad which will eventually attain A League Status and be capable of challenging for trophies, if not a team which is capable of winning the highly competitive B League.
