GAIRDOCH 0-3 CARSE
A tremendous display from Carse allowed them to comfortably defeat Gairdoch. George Haney put the on-fire team ahead after 15 minutes firing in low at Andy Pennycooks near post. Chic Bell kept the clean sheet in tact with a superb reflex stop from Ryan Eadie shortly after, and although Carse couldnt yet kill off the game a stout defensive display brought them into half time.
John Lynn brought a fresh attacking option for Carse in the second half and terrorised Gairdoch's defence throughout. He was rewarded with 10 mins of the second half gone when he chested down a Mark Cameron cross and smashed the ball into the roof of the net. George Haney missed his second penalty in 2 games as his Amoruso style run up failed to keep the ball under the cross bar. But he made up moments later, picking up a Rab T throw and bombing his way down the Gairdoch touchline, before slotting home a good goal under pressure from the chasing defenders.
Final Score 3-0
**There is a price for everything though, and best wishes to Darren Hughes (Sparra) who suffered a bad injury whilst challenging the Gairdoch keeper.
