Reading Triumph In YMCA DerbyMark Lemm Wednesday, January 30, 2002 07:55 GMT
Reading YMCA got revenge over their local rivals, Tilehurst YMCA, with a disciplined and organised display. The result was never in doubt after a Steve Woodrow strike gave Reading an early lead and although a spirited Tilehurst outfit battled hard they could not breakdown a mean Mark Lemm led defence. A Lemm solo effort made it 2-0 in the second half before Michael Foldvari rounded off a 4 man move with a confident finish. Player manager, Mark Lemm, beamed "This was one of our best displays of the season and we're now in a great position to challenge for the title. What is particularly pleasing is that players like Foldvari and Paul O'Boyle are beginning to adapt to the unique demands of 5 a side football and are enhancing their reputations."
