Batty made a shocking blunder when he tried to clear from a back-pass, sending the ball straight to goal scorer Brett Emerton who headed the ball into an empty net for a second goal. Dugdale says the crucial error has made it extremely hard for his side in the return match in Sydney on Sunday. He says the whole team looked a bit shell shocked at the start of the match. New Zealand face the unprecedented task of having to beat Australia by three goals in the return match. |
