PUMA GAINS PL OUTING
Pumas Heat Leader Chris Schramm recieved his first Premier League outing of the season while guesting for Cristophe Cayre for the Island of Wight aginst Newport on Tues 17th April.
Schramm rode well and scored 3 points. Schramm could well find himself more guest appearances if Cayre is out for much longer.
Schramm's three points were the first points that IOW have scored from number 7 all sesaon because Cayre failed to score in the meetings before injury.
The young Puma gained some practice on the Island track while competing in a challenge match between Southampton and Sittingbourne on Tues 3rd April. Schramm rode at number 1 for Southampton and scored 15 from 18 points. He would have scored a full 18 point maximum if it wasn't for a heat 13 fall.
Fellow Puma Mark Thompson rode for the opposite team Sittingbourne at number 1 but gained only 1 point from 3 rides although the ex-Mildenhall Fen Tiger did suffer an engine faliure in his last outing.
(Chris Schramm---3,3,3,3,X,3----15) Southampton 50 - 40 Sittingbourne (Mark Thompson---0,1,R----1)
