Rotherham poised to sign Nolan

Adam Bell  Monday, May 21, 2001  13:44 GMT

Ronnie Moore is understood to be ready to step up his hunt for City defender Ian Nolan.
Moore spoke to the Rotherham board about his transfer plans over the weekend.
He will be given a budget to spend in the transfer market and Nolan could emerge as one of his top targets.
Nolan quit Sheffield Wednesday under the Bosman ruling last summer to join The Bantams and he is tipped to leave Valley Parade after an uninspiring season.
The Northern Ireland international lives in Barnsley and a move to Rotherham could suit him.
If Moore does make a move for Nolan, much will come down to whether he is in a position to meet the player's personal demands.
