Aston Villa finished the Season 1 in PFF in a commendable 3rd place.  After being took over mid-season by the Cookie Brothers lying in 5th position they then went unbeaten for the rest of the season.  They finished 3rd behind Leeds by 3 goals and 5 points behind champions Man Utd.

Joint Manager Steven cook said "When we arrived here we sitting 5th position 9 points behind league leaders Man Utd, we then finished 5 points behind in 3rd.  When we took over we had won 7, drew 7, lost 3 with a goal difference of plus 3 on 28 points.  We ended up having won 11, drew 8, lost 3 with a goal difference of plus 11 sitting on 41 points.  We believe the squad has been much improved, especially as we now have a strong midfield after the recent signing of Gary McAllister, the new club captain."
