Coaching Opportunities

COACHING / TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES - 2002

The following courses will be available next year.  Full details are available from Andy Smith - telephone 01380 726449 [home] or 01280 7345690 [work] - and will be available at the Sports Club.   A synopsis of each of the courses is set out further down this page.

Improving the quality of our coaching and administration is a key element of our plans, geared to retaining and developing players who will represent the Club in future years.

LATEST NEWS - as of 28 January, 2002:  The Leisure Development Team of Kennet District Council has announced some additional Coach Education courses, which have been added in red to the following list: -

13 January, 2002 - Salisbury : National 15-a-side Refereeing Certificate. 
A 6 hour course, plus an assessment to gain the award

14 February, 2002 - Dauntsey's School [evening] : Coach Development Sessions for mini, midi and youth rugby.   They are aimed at the more experienced coach, looking at specific areas of the game, such as lineout, back row play, scrum half, etc.

6 March, 2002 - Devizes Sports Club : Playing It Safe (Child Protection)
Guidance for Coaches, Leaders and Sports Clubs.  Raising awaremess of child safety issues amongst groups offering leisure activities to children

21 March, 2002 - Dauntsey's School [evening] : Coach Development Sessions for mini, midi and youth rugby.  They are aimed at the more experienced coach, looking at specific areas of the game, such as lineout, back row play, scrum half, etc.

12 May, 2002 - Devizes Sports Club : Mini/Midi Foundation Course.
An opportunity to gain some fundamental coaching skills, for Club Coaches, teachers and those who assist in age-group training at the moment.

A short course for coaches, parents and team managers involved in the u7s to u12s age groups.

8/9 June, 2002 - Cooper Avon Tyres [Melksham]
Mini/Midi Level 1 - By the end of the course, delegates will have a good understanding of the basics of how to coach rugby from u7s to u12s. It is recommended that you have at least 2 years playing or coaching background.
Mini/Midi Level 2 - By the end of this course, delegates will possess a thorough understanding of planning, coaching style, skill development and technical improvement, for the u7s to u12s age-groups
Mini/Midi Level 3 - For more experienced mini/midi coaches who are responsible for the coaching administration in a Club and for the technical development of other coaches.
Youth Foundation - An opportunity to gain some fundamental coaching skills, for those that assist in the u13s to u18s age-groups.
Youth Level 1 - At the end of the course, delegates will be able to coach the 15-a-side game with more awareness and confidence, bringing a higher quality and a greater understanding to the game for players. Delegates should have 2 years playing or coaching background at this level and should have completed the Youth Foundation course.

Youth Level 2 - By the end of this course, delegates will possess a thorough understanding of planning, coaching style, skill development and technical improvement, for the u13s to u18s age-groups

MINI/MIDI FOUNDATION
THE FOUNDATION COURSE IS NOT A RFU COACHING QUALIFICATION COURSE

 DESCRIPTION This course is intended for anyone who wishes to acquire fundamental coaching skills in the Mini/Midi version of Rugby Union. At the end of this course the candidates will be able to assist in the organisation and delivery of basic coaching sessions that are SAFE, EFFECTIVE and ENJOYABLE working with players up to 12 years old. Candidates who work, or intend to work, in the non-contact form of the game i.e. U7-U8, can opt not to attend Module 3 - Safety in Contact.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1) Minimum age 16. 2) The candidate is expected to work as an enthusiastic assistant to a qualified coach and promote the game of Rugby Union through safe, purposeful and enjoyable activity
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (along with remittance) to the Database Administrator, four weeks before the course. 2) The Course Organiser is responsible for sending the appropriate resources to each candidate at least one week before the Course. 3) The non-contact course will run for 4 hours. A further optional 2 hour module will be devoted to Safety in Contact. 4) There will be no assessment. 5) The course will be based on the former Start Rugby course and will be organised and delivered by YDOs or Accredited RFU Tutors.
COURSE COSTS 1) The RFU will charge a registration and resource fee of £5.00 per candidate. 2) N.B. The remittance must accompany the Course Registration Form.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION 1) An appropriate Certificate of Attendance (non-contact or contact) will be issued by the Course Organiser at the end, or within one week, of the course. 2) On completion of the course, the Course Organiser will send a list of candidates to the Database Administrator. If not received within one month of the course the DA will contact the Course Organiser

MINI/MIDI LEVEL I

DESCRIPTION This course will enable the candidate, through a process of information, evaluation and assessment to introduce and coach Rugby Union to players in the U7-12 age range.  The candidate will be expected to coach the Rules of the Continuum in a safe, effective and enjoyable manner.  By the end of the course, the candidate will have a basic understanding of Mini/Midi rugby and how it should be coached.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1) Minimum age 18, for candidates wishing to be assessed. 2) It is recommended that candidates have a two year playing or coaching background, or have worked in coaching for one season since attending the Foundation course. 3) The candidate is expected to work as an enthusiastic coach who promotes the game of Rugby Union. 4) Where appropriate, e.g. students on a P.E., Sports Science or Teacher Training course, and at the Organiser/Tutor's discretion, the entry requirements may be reviewed in the interest of "educating" potential schoolteachers. For such cases Organisers/Tutors should consult with their Team Leader.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (with remittance) to the Database Administrator, four weeks before the course. 2) The course will run for 12 hours on a CB basis, excluding assessment. 3) Candidates must complete all the course requirements e.g. full attendance, worksheets, assessments. 4) The course will be organised and delivered by YDOs or Accredited RFU Tutors, and verified by Team Leaders. 5) For assessments: ONLY Mini/Midi players can be used and no squad or player should do more than 3 or 4 sessions on any one day. These assessments will be arranged by the Course Organiser who will explain the details at the end of the course.
COURSE COSTS 1) The RFU will charge a registration and resource fee of £15.00 per candidate. 2) N.B. The remittance must accompany the Course Registration Form.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION 1) The Course Organiser will hold the CV/Assessment sheets until required by Assessors. 2) Assessments will be held as arranged, but all within 6 months of the course and all before the commencement of the next course.  Results should be passed immediately to the Team Leader for verification. 3) Following assessment and verification, the Team Leader will send results to the Database Administrator within one week of their receipt. 4) The Database Administrator will send a result letter and I.D. card to all successful candidates within one week of receiving the results.  A clothing order form will be enclosed with this letter. 5) Unsuccessful candidates will be given written feedback and recommendations by the Assessor and if necessary the Team Leader. 6) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by the Team Leader. 7) Copies of results will be sent to CBCCs by the Database Administrator.

MINI/MIDI LEVEL II

DESCRIPTION  This course is intended for Mini/Midi Level I coaches who wish to develop their knowledge and expertise in the Mini/Midi game. It is also a pre-requisite for progress to Level III. At the end of this course, the candidate will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of planning, coaching style, skill development, understanding the game, safety in contact and technical improvement for players in the U7 - U12 age range.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1) The candidate must be a Level I coach. 2) The candidate must have worked as the main/lead coach for an age-group team (U7 - U12) for 2 years since obtaining the Level I qualification.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (with remittance) to the Database Administrator, four weeks before the course. 2) The course will run for up to12 hours on a CB/Regional basis. 3) Assessment is based upon: i) Exercises 2 and 3 from the Course Handbook. ii) A written programme of 8 consecutive sessions which the candidate has planned and delivered. iii) Two practical assessments. 4) The course will be organised by CB/YDO, delivered by CB/YDO/ and verified by Team Leaders. COURSE COSTS 1) The RFU will charge a registration and resource fee of £15.00 per candidate. 2) The practical assessments (2) will be charged at £10.00 per session. 3) N.B. The remittance (for 1) above) must accompany the Course Registration Form

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION 1) The Course Organiser will pass the collated results (these will exclude assessment) to the Team Leader within one week of completion of the course. 2) Following assessment and verification, the Team Leaders will pass the full results to the Database Administrator within one week of their receipt. 3) The Database Administrator will send a result letter and I.D. card to all successful candidates within one week of receiving the results from the Team Leader.  A clothing order form will be enclosed with this letter. 4) Unsuccessful candidates will be given feedback and recommendations by the Assessor. 5) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by the Team Leader. 6) Copies of results will be sent to all CBCCs by the Database Administrator.

MINI/MIDI LEVEL III

DESCRIPTION  This course is intended for those "senior" mini coaches who have, or wish to have, a responsibility for the coaching administration of a mini-section within a club, and for the technical development of other coaches within this section. At the end of this course, candidates will be able to manage and develop coaching and coaches in his/her club mini-section.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS 1) The candidate must have approval and nomination from their club authorities and the local YDO. 2) The candidate must have attained a high standard achievement at the Level II course. 3) The candidate should have experience of being the main/lead coach with age group teams in both non-contact and contact areas of the Continuum. 4) The candidate must have coached in Mini/Junior rugby for 6 years.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The course will run for 21 hours on a Regional/Divisional basis. This includes a one-day central course programme and two modules to be completed via distance learning. 2) Two further Modules will be conducted as a member of staff on a Level I course. 3) The course is organised and delivered by CB/YDO/TL and verified by TLs.
COURSE COST The RFU will charge a registration and resource fee of £15.00 per candidate.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION 1) The Course Organiser will pass the collated results to the Team Leader within one week of completion of the course. 2) Following verification the TL will pass the collated results sheet to the Database Administrator within one week of their receipt. 3) The Database Administrator will send a result letter and I.D. card to all successful candidates within one week of receiving the results from the Team Leader. A clothing order form will be enclosed with this letter. 4) Unsuccessful candidates will be given feedback and recommendations by the Course Organiser. 5) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by the Team Leader 6) Copies of results will be sent to CBCCs by the Database Administrator.

YOUTH FOUNDATION
THE FOUNDATION COURSE IS NOT A RFU COACHING QUALIFICATION COURSE

YOUTH LEVEL I

YOUTH LEVEL II

DESCRIPTION  The course is designed to help Level I coaches of proven ability to increase their knowledge and expertise in the youth game of Rugby Union.  At the end of this course successful candidates will be able to apply a thorough understanding of all aspects of planning, coaching style, skill development, safety in contact and technical improvement to their coaching of players in the U13- U18 age groups.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1) Entry is offered to Level I coaches, who gain nomination from their Constituent Bodies in acknowledgement of the quality of their pass at Level I or their general coaching performance since obtaining Level I. 2) Nominees would normally have experience of coaching U16 - U19 age group teams, often as head coach and would possess a CV that meets the approval of Team Leaders.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The course will run for 21 hours and be held on a CB/Regional basis and will include distance learning (min. 1.5 hrs.).  2) The course will be organised and delivered by Accredited RFU Tutors and be verified by TLs. 3) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (with remittance) to the Database Administrator four weeks before the course. 4) Candidates must complete all the course requirements i.e. full attendance, worksheets, assessments. 5) For assessments ONLY youth players can be used and no squad or player should do more than 3 or 4 sessions on any one occasion. Assessments will be arranged by the Course Organiser; dates and venues will be given at the end of the course. 6) The course will comprise three modules:- Module 1 - Planning and Preparing to Coach - (2.5 Hours) An evening or half day session to act as: i) An initial briefing and delivery of Module 1. ii) A suitable occasion for issue of the Course Handbook, Worksheets and Module 2 Seminar topics. iii) A cut-off time for entry i.e. two weeks before Module 2.  Module 2 - Understanding the Game - (16 Hours) Two days to deliver the main course.  Module 3. - Effective Coaching - (2 Hours) Practical Assessment to complete the course. i) The assessments MUST be conducted with suitable "guinea-pigs"; because of this, it is considered better to hold these assessments after the course. Course Organisers/Tutors must set dates and central venues for assessments which can be publicised on the course.  Alternatively, assessments may take place at the candidate's club, at a later date. ii) Not all candidates will be suitable for these final assessments.  Feedback for these candidates should be completed on the course.

YOUTH TOWARDS LEVEL III

DESCRIPTION This course is designed for coaches of proven quality who wish to further develop their knowledge. They will have been identified and nominated by their CB, YDO or TL as having the potential to progress to Level III. As well as providing assessment, the course also provides information and is a valuable in-service exercise for good Level II coaches.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1) Entry to the course follows on from successful completion of the Level II course and nomination from an acceptable source (see Course Description above). 2) Candidates are normally expected to have had at least one season as lead coach of an U16 - U19 team, playing a minimum of 12 games.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The course will run for 7 hours on a CB/Regional basis, and at a suitably equipped venue. 2) The course will be organised and delivered by CB/YDO/TL and will include work in tutorial groups ratio 1: 4/5. Tutors appointed for these tutorials need to be accredited and will receive guidance notes before the course. 3) Assessment for suitability to progress will be based on candidates contributions during the course and results will be given by tutors at the end of the day. COURSE COST The course will cost £35.00

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION 1) The Team Leader will send the collated results to the Database Administrator at NCD within one week of completion of the course. 2) The Database Administrator will send a result letter to all candidates within one week of receiving the results from the Team Leader. 3) NCD will track candidates by CB on the "Where are They Now?" database. 4) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by TLs.

YOUTH LEVEL III

DESCRIPTION This course is designed for coaches of proven quality who have developed their ability to the highest level of the Youth game. At the end of this course, the candidate will be able to show above average analytical insight into several areas of the game.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1) The candidate will be a Level II coach who is expected to be working at a suitable level (representative?). 2) The candidate will have been successfully screened at a recent "Towards" course.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) Candidates will be invited 3 months beforehand to attend Module 1 "Understanding the Game" 12 hour course running, as arranged, over a weekend.  2) The course will be organised and run regionally by the Team Leader.  3) Staffing will be at a minimum ratio of 1:4  4) Successful candidates will progress to Module 2 "Effective Coaching" ; this is the practical assessment which is arranged by the candidate with an Accredited Assessor and takes place at the candidates club/school during the season.  5) Following successful completion of Module 2, candidates will be invited to complete the programme by attending Module 3, delivered at a 12 hour weekend course.
COURSE COST  1) Module 1 - the RFU will charge a resource fee of £125.00 per candidate.  2) Module 2 will be at no cost to the candidate.  3) Module 3 - the RFU will charge a resource fee of £125.00 per candidate. (Candidates will incur less costs should they not require accommodation.)
COURSE RESOURCES These will be supplied by NCD as required and include videos and notes for Delivery.
POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION  1) At each stage of the process, candidates will be given full feedback of results; any deficiencies that may exist will be identified and passed on orally and/or in writing.  Unsuccessful candidates will be given advice and recommendations for improvement of weak areas.  2) NCD will track coaches from "Towards" until completion, or otherwise, of the full course.  3) Successful completion of the course will be confirmed in writing.  4) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by the NCD Office.

YOUTH BEYOND LEVEL III

DESCRIPTION This course will serve as an in-service commitment to keep up-to-date and revalidate a coach's status, and will require attendance at least once every two years.  At the end of this course, delegates will be updated in recent coaching trends and re-invigorated as a practitioner.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  Delegates must be a Level III coach.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS  1) Courses will run for 7 hours on a Divisional basis and be held annually.  2) Invitations will be issued Divisionally by Team Leaders who will organise and deliver the course.  3) The course will include latest developments in the game, lectures, seminar-based work, as well as an opportunity to self-assess.  4) Attendance at the course will re-validate a coach' s status.
COURSE COST  The course will cost £35.00.
COURSE RESOURCES  These will be supplied by NCD
POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION Copies of the debrief report will be collated by Team Leaders and passed on to the NCD Office.  2) Delegates will receive a copy of their report within two weeks of the course from the NCD Office.  3) Team Leaders will keep copies for future reference.  4) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by Team Leaders.

YOUTH LEVEL IV

ADULT FOUNDATION
THE FOUNDATION COURSE IS NOT A RFU COACHING QUALIFICATION

DESCRIPTION This course is intended for anyone who wishes to acquire fundamental coaching skills in the Adult game of Rugby Union.  At the end of this course, candidates will be able to assist in the organisation and delivery of basic coaching sessions that are SAFE, EFFECTIVE and ENJOYABLE, working with adult players.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  1) Minimum age 16  2) The candidate is expected to work as an enthusiastic assistant to a qualified coach and promote the game of Rugby Union.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (with remittance), to the Database Administrator, four weeks before the course.  2) The course will run for 8 hours on a CB basis.  3) There will be no assessment.  4) The Course Organiser is responsible for sending the appropriate resources to each candidate at least one week before the course.  5) The course will be organised and delivered by the CB/YDO or Accredited RFU Tutors, and verified by Team Leaders.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION  1) A Certificate of Attendance will be issued by the Course Organiser at the end, or within one week, of the course.  2) On completion of the course, the Course Organiser will send a list of candidates to the Database Administrator. If not received within one month of the course the DA will contact the Course Organiser.

ADULT LEVEL I

DESCRIPTION  This course is designed to enable coaches, who are working with adult players, to develop the game of Rugby Union.  At the end of the course, successful candidates will be able to coach the 15-a-side game with more awareness, confidence and quality as well as being able to develop greater understanding among players.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  1) Minimum age 18, for candidates wishing to be assessed.  2) It is recommended that candidates have a two year playing or coaching background, or have worked in coaching for one season since attending the Foundation course.  3) The candidate is expected to work as an enthusiastic coach who promotes the game of Rugby Union.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS 1) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (with remittance) to the Database Administrator four weeks before the course.  2) The course will run for 12 hours, (excluding assessment), and be organised on a CB basis.  3) Candidates must complete all the course requirements i.e. full attendance, worksheets, assessments.  4) The course will be organised and delivered by CB/YDO or Accredited RFU Tutors and verified by Team Leaders.  5) For assessments, ONLY adult players can be used and no squad or player should do more than 3 or 4 sessions on any one day.  Assessments will be arranged by the course organiser and details will be given at the end of the course.
COURSE COSTS  1) The RFU will charge a registration and resource fee of £15.00 per candidate.  2) N.B. The remittance must accompany the Course Registration Form.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION  1) The Course Organiser will hold the CV/Assessment sheets until required by Assessors.  2) Assessments to be held as arranged but all within 6 months of the course and all before the commencement of the next course.  Results should be passed immediately to the Team Leader for verification.  3) Following assessment and verification, the Team Leader will send results to the Database Administrator within one week of their receipt.  4) The Database Administrator will send a result letter and I.D. card to all successful candidates within one week of receiving the results.  A clothing order form will be enclosed with this letter.  5) Unsuccessful candidates will be given written feedback and recommendations by the Assessor and if necessary the Team Leader.  6) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by the Team Leader. 7) Copies of results will be sent to CBCCs by the Database Administrator.

ADULT LEVEL II

DESCRIPTION  The course is designed to help Level I coaches of proven ability to increase their knowledge and expertise in the adult game of Rugby Union.  At the end of this course successful candidates will be able to apply a thorough understanding of all aspects of planning, coaching style, skill development, safety in contact and technical improvement to their coaching of adult players.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  1) Entry is offered to Level I coaches, who gain nomination from their Constituent Bodies in acknowledgement of the quality of their pass at Level I or their general coaching performance since obtaining Level I.  2) Nominees would normally have experience of coaching as head coach and would possess a CV that meets the approval of Team Leaders.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS  1) The course will run for 21 hours and be held on a CB/Regional basis and will include distance learning (min.1.5 hrs.).  2) The course will be organised and delivered by Accredited RFU Tutors and be verified by TLs.  3) The Course Organiser sends a completed Course Registration Form (with remittance) to the Database Administrator four weeks before the course.  4) Candidates must complete all the course requirements i.e. full attendance, worksheets, assessments.  5) For assessments ONLY adult players can be used and no squad or player should do more than 3 or 4 sessions on any one occasion. Assessments will be arranged by the Course Organiser; dates and venues will be given at the end of the course.  6) The course will comprise three modules:-  Module 1 - Planning and Preparing to Coach - (2.5 Hours) An evening or half day session to act as:  iv) An initial briefing and delivery of Module 1.  v) A suitable occasion for issue of the Course Handbook, Worksheets and Module 2 Seminar topics.  vi) A cut-off time for entry i.e. two weeks before Module 2. Module 2 - Understanding the Game - (16 Hours)  Two days to deliver the main course.  Module 3. - Effective Coaching - (2 Hours)  Practical Assessment to complete the course. i) The assessments MUST be conducted with suitable "guinea-pigs"; because of this, it is considered better to hold these assessments after the course. Course Organisers/Tutors must set dates and central venues for assessments which can be publicised on the course.  Alternatively, assessments may take place at the candidate's club, at a later date.  ii) Not all candidates will be suitable for these final assessments.  Feedback for these candidates should be completed on the course.

ADULT TOWARDS LEVEL III

COURSE DESCRIPTION  This course is designed for coaches of proven quality who wish to further develop their knowledge. They will have been identified and nominated by their CB, YDO or TL as having the potential to progress to Level III.  As well as providing assessment, the course also provides information and is a valuable in- service exercise for good Level II coaches.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  1) Entry to the course follows on from successful completion of the Level II course and nomination from an acceptable source (see Course Description above).  2) Candidates are normally expected to have had at least one season as head coach of an adult 1st XV.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS  1) The course will run for 7 hours on a CB/Regional basis, and at a suitably equipped venue.  2) The course will be organised and delivered by CB/YDO/TL and will include work in tutorial groups - ratio 1: 4/5.  Tutors appointed for these tutorials need to be accredited and will receive guidance notes before the course. 3) Assessment for suitability to progress will be based on candidates' contributions during the course and results will be given by tutors at the end of the day.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION  1) The Team Leader will send the collated results to NCD within one week of completion of the course.  2) Following verification NCD will pass the collated results to the Database Administrator within one week of their receipt.  3) The Database Administrator will send a result letter to all candidates within one week of receiving the results from NCD.  4) Candidates will be tracked, by CB on the "Where are they now?" database.  5) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by TLs.

ADULT LEVEL III

COURSE DESCRIPTION This course is designed for coaches of proven quality who have developed their ability to be capable of coaching at high levels in the Adult game.  At the end of this course, the candidate will be able to show above average analytical insight into several areas of the game.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  1) The candidate will be a Level II coach who is capable of working at Divisional League 1 or above.  2) The candidate will have been successfully screened at a recent "Towards"course.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS  1) Candidates will be invited 3 months beforehand to attend a Module 1 "Understanding the Game"  12 hour course running, as arranged, over a weekend.  2) The course will be organised and run nationally by NCD.  3) Staffing will be at a minimum ratio of 1:4  4) Successful candidates will progress to Module 2 "Effective Coaching";  this is the practical assessment which is arranged by the candidate with an Accredited Assessor and takes place at the candidates club during the season.  5) Following successful completion of Module 2, candidates will be invited to complete the programme by attending Module 3, delivered at a 12 hour weekend course.
COURSE COST 1) Module 1 will cost £125.00 per candidate. 2) Module 2 will be at no cost to the candidate.  3) Module 3 will cost £125.00 per candidate.

POST COURSE ADMINISTRATION  1) At each stage of the process, candidates will be given full feedback of results; any deficiencies that may exist will be identified and passed on orally and/or in writing.  Unsuccessful candidates will be given advice and recommendations for improvement of weak areas.  2) NCD will track coaches from "Towards" until completion, or otherwise, of the full course. 3) Successful completion of the course will be confirmed in writing.  4) All queries and appeals will be dealt with by NCD.

ADULT BEYOND LEVEL III

COURSE DESCRIPTION  This course will serve as an in-service commitment to keep up-to-date and revalidate a coach's status, and will require attendance at least once every two years.  At the end of this course, delegates will be updated in recent coaching trends and re-invigorated as a practitioner.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  Delegates must be a Level III coach.
COURSE ARRANGEMENTS  1) Courses will run for 7 hours on a Divisional basis and be held annually.  2) Invitations will be issued nationally by NCD who will organise and deliver the course.  3) The course will include latest developments in the game, lectures, seminar-based work, as well as an opportunity to self-assess.  4) Attendance at the course will re-validate a coach's status.
COURSE COST  The course will cost £35.00.
