Parent Menu

If you want to group pages with a similar theme together under a common heading you can implement a sub menu system.

To create a sub menu item, just specify which existing menu item you want to act as the 'parent' menu item.

Menu item type

  • Folder: Used if the menu item is purely to display submenu items.
  • Page: Links to a page created for the site.
  • URL: Creates a link to another site on the internet. You can chose whether the url opens in the same browser window, a new window or a frame (an area within a page on your site).
  • Application: Create a link to one of Intheteams built in applications.
  • File: Link to a file that you have uploaded to your site. You can chose whether the url opens in the same browser window, a new window or a frame (an area within a page on your site).

Page

This relates to the menu item type selected – please refer to detailed description above for each menu item type

Show link to

If you would like to only display the link when a visitor with a particular level of access visits the site select for the list when the menu item should be displayed.

Sort order

Give each menu bar item a unique number which will define the order in which they appear on the menu bar. The lowest number appears as the left most menu bar item.

When you press the 'Save' button, the menu item that you have just created/amended, will be displayed in the menu bar and the Page will be refreshed – ready for you to add another menu item.

Note that the sort order is displayed on the menu item, when you are logged into the administration system.

Delete a menu item

If you want to delete an existing menu item, select the item by clicking on it in the menu.

The screen will then refresh to show that menu item’s attributes.

Press the Delete button

A pop up message will ask you to confirm that you wish to delete – press the OK button to proceed.

When the screen refreshes, the deleted menu item will no longer appear in the menu.
